Green Paper Audit Policy - EU conference 9 and 10 February 2011
In October 2010, the European Commission issued proposals on audit policy implications as a GREEN PAPER Audit Policy: Lessons from the Crisis. Subsequently, the European Commission received more than 700 responses from various interest groups.
Two thirds of the responses came from Germany, Great Britain, France and Spain and were issued by these interest groups: members of the profession, regulating authorities, investors, scientists, enterprises, government agencies, professional associations and individuals. On 9 and 10 February 2011, an EU conference took place in Brussels upon the filed responses and the main findings were discussed. All groups involved are looking for further approaches to solve the problem and the results are going to be reported in the future.
